Fairness Policy

neuroGlia5D pricing adjusted by country

We decided to be fair across countries by tying software pricing to PPP per-capita income. The current price is set to 2.5% of the latest available PPP per-capita reference for each country or territory, with an absolute minimum of $500.

How the calculation works

Price = max(0.025 x PPP per-capita income, $500)

This keeps pricing proportional to local purchasing power while preserving a clear lower bound for support, maintenance, and continued development.

Values are shown in USD and rounded to the nearest whole dollar for readability.

Data source

  • This page uses a static local snapshot from Wikipedia's list of countries by GDP (PPP) per capita.
  • When multiple sources are shown on that page, Cell5D prefers IMF, then World Bank, then CIA.
  • The static snapshot avoids fragile live third-party fetches during deployment.
  • The table below is visible by default, so pricing remains readable even if external APIs change.

This page is meant to make the policy transparent before procurement or licensing discussions.

Why we do this

We care more about science than making profits. This company was founded solely to make technology more accessible, and all profits are invested back into neuroscience research. Scientific software is often priced as though all labs operate under the same economic conditions. They do not. We chose this policy to be more fair across countries and make the reasoning visible instead of hiding it behind individual negotiations.
